We've added a new addition to our cauldron of exciting historical-dramas, Camelot, the highly anticipated, magical, action-packed series that will screen in Australia later this year.
The classic Arthurian legend is retold with modern relevance and energy, starring Eva Green, Joseph Fiennes, Jamie and Campbell Bower. Set amidst breathtaking locations in Ireland, Camelot brims with drama, romance, magic and action. The 10, one hour-episodes will chronicle the beginnings of the classic tale - one young man's quest to bring hope and harmony to a harsh, divided land. Arthur's epic tale of adventure has been recounted many times before, but never like this!
Camelot takes Malory's well-known "Morte d'Arthur" and reshapes the classic legend with modern emotions, conflicts and relevance. Set in 15th century England, Camelot tells the story of Arthur, an unlikely young man who discovers his true identity as King and is thrust into an unknown, mystical world of chaos, power and deceit. In this time of crisis and uncertainty, Arthur finds that he is his Kingdom's only hope. With youthful idealism, endless courage and the counsel of the legendary wizard, Merlin, Arthur goes on to win many remarkable battles for his people.
The series is headed by an amazing ensemble cast that includes Jamie Campbell Bower (Sweeney Todd) as Arthur, Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love) as the wizard Merlin, Eva Green (Casino Royale) as the sorceress Morgana, and Tamsin Egerton (Keeping Mum, St. Trinian's) as Guinevere.
From the makers of The Tudors, Spooks, Life on Mars and Deadwood, comes this thrilling tale of fantastic adventure, provocative romance and mysterious sorcerer. The series is currently shooting in Ireland and will be due for broadcast in Australia later in the year and will be available on DVD in November.
