Hopscotch Entertainment to release The InBetweeners on DVD

28 Mar 2011

Hopscotch Entertainment is thrilled to announce the DVD release of the UK smash-hit sitcom The Inbetweeners Series 1 on Thursday 2nd June 2011.

Featuring all six episodes, the DVD is stacked with extras including video diaries from all four cast members, the-making-of documentary, behind-the-scenes footage giving you a chance to see what the boys are really like as well as deleted scenes.

Currently broadcasing on Nine's digital channel, GO! The Inbetweeners is a six-part series about four teenagers growing up in suburban England. It's a world of futile crushes, sibling brawls, getting drunk too quickly, fancying the girl next door, casting aspersions on your friend's sexuality and riding roller coasters.

The show offers a comedic take on growing up in England, middle class suburbia - a world where teen pregnancies, drugs, knife fights and guns are less common than fancying your mate's mum.

Will's (Simon Bird) parents have just divorced and he has unwillingly had to move area and change schools. He was previously at a private school, so has inherited some snobbish tendencies. He's now at a comprehensive school where he has had to make a new set of friends. His newly found peers, Simon (Joe Thomas), Jay (James Buckley) and Neil (Blake Harrison) are neither that cool and or that credible.

The show is written by comedy producer Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, who script edited Peep Show and the BBC sketch show Ruddy Hell! It's Harry and Paul. Iain and Damon have also written an episode of Flight of the Conchords.

The Inbetweeners Series 1 DVD Extras:
