Mike Mills' Australian Itinerary

We are extremely excited to have Mike Mills in Australia to promote his latest film Beginners. Loosely based on his own life, Beginners is an unforgettable love story about a man and a woman and a father and son. It stars Ewan McGregor, Melanie Laurent and Christopher Plummer.

It is likely that you know more about Mike Mills' art than the man himself. His diverse talent has taken him into the worlds of music, photography, design, advertising, writing and of course cinema (his 2005 feature film Thumbsucker won him the Silver Bear trophy at the Berlin Film Festival). He's directed music videos for Moby, Air, Pulp and Yoko Ono amongst many others. He has also combined his passion for music with design by creating record sleeves for Sonic Youth, Deee-Lite and Beastie Boys.

While in Australia Mike will do what he does best - being creative! When in Melbourne he will be present at the screenings of Beginners on Friday July 29 and Sunday July 31. After the screening on July 29, he will be DJing at the Stella Artois Festival Lounge at the Forum Theatre. On July 30th he will be doing an 'In Conversation' talk from 4pm-5:15pm at the Stella Artois Festival Lounge at the Forum Theatre. This will be a ticketed event so click here for more details.

While in Sydney Mike will be doing even more Q&A screenings. First one is on Monday, August 1 at 6:30pm at Dendy Newtown - so click here for tickets.
