Miranda Series 2
Miranda returns for a new series of the farcical, affectionate, and multi-award-winning BBC comedy, which follows one woman's hapless quest to fit in and attempt to lead a ‘normal' life. Screened locally on ABC, legions of fans have already taken this lovable character to their hearts.
In Series 2, Miranda is struggling to get over her love interest Gary who has gone to Hong Kong. With the decision to stop wallowing in self pity, Miranda goes about reinventing herself, hell bent on becoming the kind of woman who power walks to work, who keeps their pot plants alive and who doesn't have a fruit bowl full of rotting pears because "they actually eat the fruit!"
Miranda's eccentric mother Penny (Patricia Hodge: Poirot) continues her embarrassing and futile attempts to marry her off to any man who walks by. Meanwhile her best friend Stevie (Sarah Hadland: Moving Wallpaper) and her old rival Tilly (Sally Phillips: Smack the Pony) stand back and unhelpfully point out where Miranda is going wrong. And she can do with all the support she can get, with amongst other things, some serious boy troubles ahead.
With the show taking out three British Comedy Awards for Best New TV Comedy Show, Best Female Comedy Actress and the People's Choice Award, Miranda is a character who will win you over with her warmth, humour and total clumsiness. Such fun!
